The Tumbl Project
Babylon A.D.

So I went to go see the 11:00pm showing of Babylon A.D. last night as soon as the previews were over and the movie began the speakers popped. We had lost sound to the voice track. We could hear music but no voices. After about 10 mins of this the lights came back up and an usher came in and said that thunder/lighting had blown something and they were resetting it. After another 5-10 mins had past the same usher came back in and said that they were going to have to cancel the show and that we would be getting double passes back for our trouble.

I immediately pulled up Moviephone.com up on my iPhone and saw that there was a midnight showing about 8 miles away. So once I received my two free passes I ran in the rain to my car and made it to the new theater with 20 mins to spare.

Now I’m no critic but I’ll give you my quick opinion of the movie. Vin Diesel is awesome as always but I felt there wasn’t enough action compared to what we’re used to seeing from him. The story concept was good but they didn’t seem to go deep enough into it once we found out more. And the ending was weak; seemed to end too quickly without a big bang. Overall I thought it was good but not “whoa”.

Earlier that evening I had saw Transformers for the first time via On Demand and it was fraking awesome! I must have jumped off the couch 10 times throughout it. I really get into movies you know. Then after that I purchased Jumper which after watching I felt the same exact way as I did for Babylon A.D., great story concept but they could have done so much more with it.

All this on a Friday night going into a 3 day weekend, w00t!
